Why engineers certify

Get hired. Get promoted.
Stay relevant.

5G and 6G are the skill moats of the next decade. Here's what getting certified does for your career.

Open new doors

Land 5G RAN, Core, O-RAN, and Security engineer roles. Operators and vendors are hiring faster than universities are training — a verifiable credential gets you past the keyword filter.

Accelerate your growth

Move from L1 support into network engineering. From engineering into architecture. A TELCOMA certification is proof you’ve done the work — not just read the slide decks.

Stay ahead of the wave

4G-only skill sets are being retired. Every operator is migrating to 5G SA and planning for 6G. Certification is the insurance policy that keeps you on the right side of that transition.

Industry First

Meet TelcoMentor. Stuck mid-lesson? Ask it.

The only telecom coach that knows your entire curriculum. Ask anything inside any lesson — get answers grounded in your course material, not generic internet results.

Course-Aware

Knows exactly what you're studying and explains using your lesson content — not generic answers from the internet

Instant Clarification

Confused by a concept? Ask TelcoMentor right inside the lesson. Get an explanation grounded in what you just read

3GPP Spec References

Every answer includes relevant 3GPP specification numbers so you can verify and go deeper

Connects the Dots

Why does 5G use beamforming instead of just increasing power?

Great question! As covered in this lesson, beamforming focuses energy toward specific users rather than broadcasting in all directions.

Think of it like a flashlight vs a lightbulb — same energy, but concentrated where it's needed. This is why 5G NR achieves higher throughput without increasing total radiated power (3GPP TS 38.214).

The interactive lab in the next card lets you compare beam patterns →

What engineers who got hired say

Real engineers from across 150+ countries

I spent 6 months trying to wrap my head around 5G NR from the specs alone. Got through the RAN path here in three weeks. The call flow simulations are what did it for me.

Rajesh Menon

Senior RAN Engineer, Singtel, Singapore

Honestly wasn't expecting much. But the labs where you actually tune PCI parameters and see interference patterns — that's stuff I do every day at work. First platform that feels like it was built by engineers.

Priya Sankaran

RF Optimization Lead, Jio, Mumbai

TelcoMentor is genuinely useful. I was stuck on PDU session anchor relocation and it walked me through the sequence using the actual lesson I was reading. Way better than Googling.

Tomasz Kowalczyk

5G Core Architect, T-Mobile, Poland

My team of 12 uses this for onboarding new engineers. The career paths give us a clear curriculum. Cut our onboarding time from 4 months to about 6 weeks.

Ahmed Al-Khalifa

Network Architecture Manager, Etisalat, UAE

The O-RAN level is the only resource I've found that actually explains the E2/O1/A1 interfaces properly. Not just definitions — you see them in action.

Kenji Watanabe

Solutions Engineer, Rakuten Mobile, Tokyo

I used this to prep for my 5G certification at work. Passed first try. The scenario-based quizzes are exactly like what was on the exam.

Linnea Bergström

NOC Engineer, Ericsson, Stockholm

Been in telecom for 14 years. The AI-RAN and ML/RAN content here is ahead of what most vendors are publishing. That's what convinced me to subscribe.

Olusegun Adeyemi

Principal Engineer, MTN, Lagos

I'm a solutions consultant, I demo 5G stuff to clients. The topology labs here are the best teaching tool I've found. Sometimes I share lessons with prospects.

Sarah Thompson

Solutions Consultant, Vodafone, UK

The troubleshooting labs are what got me. You get a failed registration and have to figure out what's wrong from the PCAP. That's my actual job.

Diego Fernández

Protocol Test Engineer, Telefónica, Madrid

Free levels 0-2 are good enough that I was skeptical the paid content would be worth it. It absolutely is. Annual is a bargain for what you get.

Chidi Okonkwo

5G Transport Engineer, Airtel, Nairobi
