Privacy Policy

5G/6G Academy ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by TELCOMA Global, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Learning Data: We collect data about your learning progress, including completed lessons, quiz scores, badges, bookmarks, and notes.

Payment Information: Payments are handled by Razorpay and PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details; we keep a record of what was paid, when, in which currency and the provider's reference, which is what your receipts are built from.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, and device information.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our learning platform
  • Sync your learning progress across devices
  • Process subscriptions and payments
  • Send important account notifications (subscription changes, security alerts)
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve content and features
  • Respond to support requests

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage
  • Vercel: website hosting, request logs and cookieless page-view analytics
  • Mux: video hosting and playback
  • Resend: sending our emails, and delivery events such as opens and bounces
  • Razorpay: payments (used for customers in India, and for card payments elsewhere)
  • PayPal: payments, where you choose it
  • Google Analytics: usage analytics, only after you allow it — see Cookies below
  • Anthropic: the questions you type into TelcoMentor, our AI coach, are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the answer. They are not used to train models.

These providers process data on our behalf under data protection agreements. They are based in India, the United States and the European Union, so your data may be processed outside your country. Where that happens for people in the UK or EEA, transfers rely on the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication tokens, and access controls. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Export everything we hold about you as a JSON file — the “Download my data” button in Account Settings
  • Delete your account from the same page. Learning data, progress and personal details go; records of payments are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires (currently eight years in India), which is the one thing deletion does not remove.
  • Correct your name or email by emailing support@telcomaglobal.com — we do it by hand, usually the same working day
  • Opt out of non-essential email using the unsubscribe link in any of them
  • Object or complain — write to the grievance officer below, or to your local data protection authority

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. These are required for the site to work.

We also use Google Analytics to understand which pages help people learn. It sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years) and records anonymised usage: pages viewed, approximate location by country, and device type. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell data.

Analytics cookies start switched off. If you are browsing from Europe we ask first, and Google Analytics writes nothing unless you choose “Allow”. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser. Our other measurement tool, Vercel Analytics, counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove all personal data within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our platform.
