LTE Default bearer establishment

Card 1 of 425%

Always-On Connectivity

In LTE, a default EPS bearer is created automatically during the attach procedure — this is your always-on IP connection. Unlike 3G where you had to explicitly activate a PDP context, LTE gives you an IP address and data path the moment you attach. The default bearer is non-GBR (non-Guaranteed Bit Rate), typically QCI 9 for best-effort internet.
