LTE organizes communication into three layers of channels. Logical channels define WHAT is carried (user data, control info, system broadcast). Transport channels define HOW it is carried (shared, dedicated, broadcast). Physical channels define WHERE it is carried on the actual radio resources. Data flows down from logical to transport to physical for transmission.
