While NSA provides a quick 5G throughput boost, SA is required to unlock the full potential of 5G. Only SA with a 5G Core enables network slicing, URLLC with guaranteed latency, edge computing via LADN (Local Area Data Network), and native 5G security (SUPI/SUCI privacy). SA also simplifies the architecture by removing the LTE anchor dependency, reducing signaling overhead.
