The PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network) identity consists of MCC (Mobile Country Code, 3 digits) + MNC (Mobile Network Code, 2–3 digits) and uniquely identifies a mobile operator in a country. For example, MCC 310, MNC 260 identifies T-Mobile US. Every cell, AMF, and network slice is associated with a PLMN ID. In 5G, a cell can broadcast multiple PLMN IDs to support network sharing.
