Lab Scenario: Five Customer Briefs

In this lab you will play technology selector for an operator IoT solution architect. Each of five customer briefs describes a real cellular IoT deployment scenario with constraints around battery life, mobility, data volume, voice support, latency, and target deployment timeline. Your task is to recommend the right air interface — NB-IoT, LTE-M Cat-M1, LTE-M Cat-M2, or RedCap — for each, and justify the choice in two or three sentences. The reference answers below capture the dominant industry choice for each profile, but the reasoning matters more than memorization.
