5G Fundamentals
Band n78 operating at 3.3 to 3.8 GHz is the most widely deployed 5G NR band in the world, used across Europe, Asia, and parts of the Americas. It offers an excellent balance of roughly 100 MHz channel bandwidth and one to three kilometer cell range. Band n77 spans 3.3 to 4.2 GHz and is the primary mid-band carrier in the US as C-band and in Japan. For low-band coverage, T-Mobile in the US relies on n71 at 600 MHz, while China and Japan deploy n79 at 4.4 to 5.0 GHz for additional mid-band capacity.
