4G LTE Essentials
In this hands-on lab you will construct the complete LTE architecture by dragging network elements into their correct positions and connecting them with the appropriate interfaces. You will place the UE, eNodeB, MME, Serving Gateway, PDN Gateway, HSS, and PCRF on a canvas, then draw S1-MME, S1-U, S5, S6a, S11, and Gx links between them. Each connection must match the correct protocol and plane, reinforcing the architecture you have studied throughout this module and building the spatial intuition that engineers rely on during real network design.
Try these first, even if you're not sure. Guessing primes your brain.
An eNodeB has two links leaving toward the core. Why two, not one?
Why do towers connect to only a couple of core nodes, not all of them?
The mobility node decides to set up a bearer. How does the gateway learn about it?
