Lab: Trace a packet from phone to internet

Every time you open an app or load a webpage on your phone, dozens of protocols work together to deliver your data across multiple network segments. In this lab, you will trace the complete journey of a single packet from the moment it leaves your phone until it arrives at a web server on the internet. At each hop along the way, the packet is processed differently as headers are added, removed, inspected, and rewritten. Understanding this end-to-end flow is the single most valuable skill for troubleshooting any mobile data connectivity issue.
