Voice over 5G (VoNR & IMS) · Pro
Video calling over NR (ViNR) adds a video media stream alongside the voice stream, requiring a second dedicated QoS flow. A video call uses three QoS flows in total: 5QI=5 for SIP signaling (default, non-GBR), 5QI=1 for voice media (GBR, 100ms PDB, AMR-WB or EVS codec), and 5QI=2 for video media (GBR, 150ms PDB, H.264 or H.265 codec). The 5QI=2 flow has a Priority Level of 40, Packet Error Rate of 10 to the minus 3, and guaranteed bitrate reservation for the video stream, ensuring smooth visual quality during the call.
