Fronthaul bandwidth for the O-RAN 7.2x split depends on the number of antenna ports, component carrier bandwidth, IQ sample bit width, and protocol overhead. The base calculation multiplies the number of subcarriers by the number of OFDM symbols per millisecond by the IQ sample width by the number of antenna layers by two for I and Q components.
