Ethernet VPN is a BGP-based control plane technology that provides multi-point Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN services over an MPLS or VXLAN data plane. In mobile transport, EVPN replaces traditional VPLS by offering active-active multi-homing, MAC mobility, and integrated routing and bridging.
