EIRP, Sensitivity, and Fade Margins

EIRP (Effective Isotropic Radiated Power) combines transmit power, antenna gain, and cable loss into one figure. A macro 64T64R on n78 achieves ~62 dBm EIRP including beamforming gain; a small cell reaches ~42 dBm. Receiver sensitivity depends on bandwidth, noise figure, and required SINR — for 50 MHz DL bandwidth with 7 dB UE noise figure, sensitivity is approximately -93 dBm. Shadow fade margin accounts for slow fading from obstacles: 5.6 dB for 90% area coverage, 7.8 dB for 95%, and 9.2 dB for 97% probability.
