M-Plane: Management and Configuration

The M-plane provides management connectivity between the DU and O-RU using NETCONF over SSH. During O-RU startup, the M-plane establishes a NETCONF session where the DU pushes configuration parameters: carrier frequency, bandwidth, antenna mapping, compression settings, and beamforming weights. The O-RU reports its hardware capabilities through YANG models that describe supported band combinations, antenna counts, and processing limits.
