In multi-sector indoor deployments, co-channel interference between adjacent indoor cells is the primary performance limiter. When two DAS sectors or small cells share the same frequency, their coverage zones overlap and users in the overlap region experience degraded SINR. Physical Cell Identity planning is critical — adjacent cells must use different PCI values to avoid confusion during handover and measurement reporting.
