DAS antenna placement begins with the floor plan and propagation analysis. Antennas are positioned to achieve overlapping coverage zones with target RSRP of negative eighty-five dBm or better at every point on the floor. In open office layouts, ceiling-mounted omnidirectional antennas are spaced fifteen to twenty meters apart in a grid pattern. Corridors use directional antennas aimed down the hallway to extend coverage with fewer units. Conference rooms and enclosed offices may each require a dedicated antenna due to wall attenuation.
