Active DAS Architecture

Active DAS digitizes the RF signal at a central headend unit and distributes it over fiber optic or Category 6 Ethernet cables to remote radio units distributed throughout the building. The headend, also called the master unit, connects to operator base stations and converts their RF outputs into digital streams.
