Passive DAS Overview
A passive Distributed Antenna System distributes RF signals from a base station to multiple indoor antennas using entirely passive coaxial components. The signal path runs from the BTS output through coaxial cable to a network of splitters, couplers, and tappers that divide the signal power among multiple antenna locations throughout the building. No active electronics exist between the BTS and the antennas — all splitting and distribution is purely passive.
