This lab challenges you to design a mmWave small cell deployment for a downtown area spanning eight city blocks with a mix of residential apartments and commercial buildings. The target is providing FWA service to five hundred residential units using 28 GHz spectrum with four hundred MHz bandwidth. You must select small cell locations on existing poles and building facades, design beam configurations for each site, and ensure dual connectivity with the existing sub-6 GHz macro network. Budget constraints limit you to fifteen small cell sites maximum.
