QoS Framework for FWA Services

Quality of Service management ensures FWA subscribers receive consistent broadband performance even during peak usage periods. The 5G QoS framework uses QoS flows identified by QoS Flow Identifiers to differentiate traffic types. Each FWA subscriber session maps to a default QoS flow for best-effort internet traffic plus optional dedicated flows for latency-sensitive applications like voice and video conferencing. The Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate parameter defines the maximum total throughput a subscriber can consume across all flows, enforced by the UPF in the core network.
