Setting Up Throughput Tests

Throughput testing during drive tests measures actual achievable data rates under real-world conditions. The standard methodology uses multi-thread FTP or HTTP download/upload sessions to saturate the radio link. For downlink, 3–5 simultaneous TCP streams downloading large files from a server on the operator's network (or a well-connected internet server) ensure the connection is fully loaded.
