Network Optimization Engineer: role overview and daily workflow
What Does a Network Optimization Engineer Do?
Network optimization engineers analyze live network performance data to identify and resolve coverage, capacity, quality, and handover issues. They work with KPI dashboards, drive test data, subscriber complaint data, and vendor performance counters to find underperforming clusters and cells. Their daily workflow includes monitoring KPI trends, analyzing top-worst cell reports, performing root cause analysis on degraded cells, designing and implementing parameter changes, and verifying improvements through before/after KPI comparison.
