RF KPI Reference Ranges

Real-world RF KPI thresholds used by operators for 5G NR: RSRP good coverage is above -100 dBm, marginal between -100 and -110 dBm, and poor below -110 dBm. RSRQ good is above -10 dB, acceptable between -10 and -15 dB, and poor below -15 dB. SINR good is above 10 dB for high-order modulation (256QAM), acceptable between 0 and 10 dB, and poor below 0 dB. These thresholds vary by operator and band — mmWave thresholds are typically tighter due to higher path loss variability.
