This lab presents a series of realistic radio environment scenarios with varying SINR levels, UE mobility speeds, and propagation conditions. For each scenario you will select the appropriate modulation scheme and corresponding CQI value that maximizes throughput while keeping the block error rate below the ten percent target. Getting this selection right is the core competency behind real-world network optimization because an overly aggressive MCS wastes precious resources on retransmissions while an overly conservative choice leaves available throughput on the table.
