The Stadium Density Challenge

A stadium packed with 80,000 spectators creates one of the most demanding wireless environments imaginable. Tens of thousands of users simultaneously upload photos, stream instant replays, and post to social media within a confined area measured in hundreds of meters. Traditional macro cells with conventional four-antenna panels cannot serve this density. Even deploying additional small cells creates severe inter-cell interference in such a compact space. The solution lies in massive MIMO panels that use spatial multiplexing to serve many users on the same frequencies without interference.
