Interpreting a populated NR resource grid is one of the most practical skills for 5G troubleshooting and optimization. In a typical grid showing fourteen symbols across and hundreds of RBs deep, you will see distinct patterns that correspond to different channels and signals. The SSB stands out as a dense block occupying 20 RBs across 4 symbols. The CORESET region appears at the top of the slot spanning one to three symbols. DMRS creates characteristic comb-like patterns interleaved with the data it helps demodulate on PDSCH and PUSCH.
