Symbol-Level TDD Flexibility

In TDD mode, each of the fourteen symbols within a slot can be independently designated as downlink, uplink, or flexible. 3GPP defines over 56 standard slot format combinations, and operators can also create custom patterns tailored to their traffic profiles. The base TDD configuration is broadcast in SIB1 through the tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon parameter, which specifies the periodicity and the exact downlink-uplink pattern.
