PCC Rules — From Policy to Enforcement
PCC (Policy and Charging Control) rules are the core building blocks of 5G policy enforcement. Each rule combines traffic identification with QoS and charging treatment in a single policy object. A PCC rule contains four elements: an SDF (Service Data Flow) filter that uses a five-tuple of source and destination IP addresses, ports, and protocol to identify which traffic the rule applies to; QoS data specifying the 5QI, ARP priority, and GBR/MBR values; charging data with the rating group and online or offline method; and gating control that can allow or block the matched traffic flow…
